About Randy Peters: Founder and President of Peters Associates, LLC; Randy Peters has experience in the trenches as well as the board room. With over 25 years of business experience, Randy has a diverse and unique set of skills to support business navigation, transition and development, He understands the challenges of business and the knowledge to grow a company in a competitive environment. Breadth of Experience: With a degree in Chemical Engineering, Randy began his career working in various capacities with General Foods and Pillsbury over a 15-year period including positions of Sr. Engineer, Research Sr. Scientist, Manufacturing Manager, Director of Operations and Director of Growth and Technology Development. He acquired extensive experience in new product/process development and commercialization, manufacturing operations, restaurant operations, and business planning and development. He played a key role in navigating a number of successful consumer products from concepts, prototypes and pilot through full scale manufacturing and marketplace introduction. Successful Leader: As an entrepreneur, Randy founded and built from scratch a niche consumer products manufacturing company, developing the products, establishing a strong brand, building a management team, achieving extensive distribution through multiple channels, securing debt and equity financing successfully expanding the business. He eventually negotiated the sale of the company to a significant player within the industry. During the course of the endeavor, the company also became the subject of a case study in several university marketing text books on developing effective marketing, strategic and business plans. Randy also served as CEO of a technology startup medical imaging device company where he led and managed all aspects of business including planning, intellectual property, scientific and market research, product development, and successful financing of the venture. He navigated through complex intellectual property issues to provide critical "freedom to operate" opinions, clear paths to market, strategic positioning and identified succession management upon deciding to leave the company.
